It may only be February, but 6 Minutes to Sunrise are already set to take 2014 by storm. Having recently supported bands including; Max Raptor, We are Fiction and Attention Thieves, they came back to perform once again at the Joiners to support Lonely the Brave.
The band has previously played to a sold out crowd at the Joiners so they are no stranger to this venue or a large audience; this is clearly evident through the band’s stage presence, and the lead singer, Cameron’ charisma and energy throughout the gig which helped captivate the audience.
The guys played a lively set which included some of their older songs as well as some new material. Their most recently recorded song “My Favourite Fantasy”, definitely lived up to expectations; Cameron gave a powerful, emotional vocal performance which made this song really come alive.
They ended the set on a high with a brand new song which had only been recently written.
However, one thing that came across loud and clear from this is that all four members are very talented musicians.
If this gig was anything to go by, 2014 will be an immense year for this band, who are surely destined for big things.
If you missed them at the Joiners, they have plenty more dates coming up including Limp Bizkit’s after show party on 20th Feb at The Cellar and Takedown Festival at Southampton University on 15th March.
